Kimberley Sears –

School Director, Eastern Shore

Kimberley Sears was born and raised in England. Before auditioning for the Royal Ballet School, she won several awards including the Northwest England Ballet Championship. She was one of only two female dancers accepted globally to the Royal Ballet School, White Lodge the year of her audition.  While there Kimberley was privileged to train under many notable instructors, including Dame Ninette de Valois. She also trained and danced with Northern Ballet and the Manchester City Ballet. She has performed the Lilac Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty, the Mazurka and Pas de Deux in Les Sylphides, coached by Julia Faron, Myrtha in Giselle, as well as productions of The Nutcracker, coached by Peter Clegg, and original works choreographed by Michael Ho and David Needham. Her Musical Theatre credits include The King and I at Leicester Haymarket Theater, Hot Stuff at Oldham Coliseum Theater and Leicester Haymarket Theater, and Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Crazy For You at the Muny in St. Louis and Starlight Theater, Kansas City. Her television work includes Granada TV in Manchester, UK. She has also worked for the Royal Caribbean, Costa and Princess Cruises. Kimberley has been a faculty member of Mobile Ballet since 2005 and serves as Mobile Ballet’s Eastern Shore School Director. While at Mobile Ballet, she has appeared on the stage as the queen in Snow White, Carabosse in The Sleeping Beauty, and Mrs. Stahlbaum and Mother Ginger in The Nutcracker.
